Dave Fields

Dave Fields is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a passion for delivering compassionate care to individuals navigating the complexities of mental health. Growing up in Hawaii and graduating from Mililani High School, Dave's early roots grounded him in a unique understanding of diverse populations.

Pursuing his commitment to the field of psychiatry, Dave obtained his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northwestern State University of Louisiana and later specialized in psychiatry during his Master of Science in Nursing program at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. With experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, Dave's expertise stretches across a wide spectrum of psychiatric disorders in adolescents and adults.


Currently, Dave plays an instrumental role in community mental health, dedicating his skills to serve homeless individuals grappling with mental health issues. As a professor of psychiatric nursing at Kapiolani Community College, Dave not only practices but also instills his profound knowledge into the next generation of psychiatric healthcare professionals.


Outside of his professional life, Dave enjoys watching anime, exploring new destinations, and spending cherished moments with his loyal dog, Gary. His dedication to his patients, students, and the broader community showcases his unwavering commitment to the world of mental health.
